Well, since @fuzzcherry has only posted 3 times since 2010, during which time he has rated over 600 beers (the reason I mention this is he has posted no reviews to explain his ratings), I'm not holding my breath for an explanation of how he rated a beer that has not yet hit the streets (AFAIK).

It's not at Summit's beer hall yet, it it?

To answer many questions from above:

Here is a bit more information on the beer including some notes and pics. Damo and crew brewed the beer last week and it was absolutely insane watching them toss in a half-ton of Brewer's Invert Sugar #2 into this thing. And those experimental hops -- chocolate hops, y'all!

3X Mild is due for release in mid-to-late November. The beer just hit terminal gravity this week... so as for the beer review that is out there already, unless that BA user has been sneaking around and wringing out Damo's shorts or socks and drinking it... this is not the droid he/she has found.

As always with "styles" we are trying our hardest to call it something digestible to style wonks... so Imperial Mild was the closest thing to modern terms. It's a 19th century English mild recipe of high strength... thus 3X, the numbers of Xs being a measure of strength in ye olden day. Just like we called Herk Woods an Imperial Cali Common... when really it was just a badass strong lager.

Is this available yet in any of the south metro liquor stores?
