Are the non ba versions of this beer available? If not anyone know when they are released? Thanks!

Sure you can trade for them. Sump much more easy to acquire than Abraxas. I've heard next batch of Abraxas is expected in November, and that should make it a little easier to find.

Yes, new Abraxas in November. I'm guessing sometime in winter for sump but not sure

Sump was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trading for one

You think something like a bomb and a Bible Belt would do it?

Sump that is. I don't know when the last release was or even bottle count.

MO seems to get those, and at least in CA they're both heading towards shelf-turd status.

My guess if you go a bit over $4$ with the NG Fruits, you could score Sump. Abraxas is a tougher fish to catch, but not a whale.

I'd wait on the Abraxas until the next release. We had one at a tasting several weeks ago & it was easily the weakest beer of the night. (DBH, Huna, BAA, Abraxas, Cali Huna). It just doesn't age well.

Easily the weakest of those beers is still an extremely elite beer...

With age on it Abraxas definitely loses some of the spice factor, but in my experience starts to taste like chocolate milk (not a bad thing)

I just popped my bottle on 9/12 and we thought it was fantastic. If that thing faded, I'm not sure I could handle it fresh (but I'd damned sure like to try).

Maybe it was just overwhelmed by the company it was keeping.

    it happens!

we made it the first beer of the night (and paired it with some amazing BBQ my friend cooked up). was actually better than the Coffee Abraxas that followed it

I was being facetious. I traded for the Abraxas & going by the geography I suspect I was at least it's 3rd home. Loss of quality was perhaps due to an especially rugged trip between those homes or just storage conditions somewhere. Your experience is reassuring because hope is renewed that the 13 ba Abraxas I still have will be drinking nicely after all. Cool!
