Far to many choices honestly not sure at all since I'll be chilling at the house. My wife is not a true craft beer drinker might try Blushing Monk with her first half. 2nd half follow it up a BA Narwhal since I never had either, (Although I''m sure I'll cellar this a while since I hear the 2015 is a little hot). But the cellar is full of great stuff I've yet to try Bios, The Nothing, Vanilla Bean Stout, Abyss Rye, BA Gratitude, or Pugachev's Cobra. Its been a long time since I've had a Wulver, Sunday Morning Stout, or Big Bad Baptist. Too many choices................

I actually prefer it with a bit of "age" on it. Less than two weeks it's a bit harsh in my opinion. Although the can I had last night was canned on 1/20, so it's a little over two weeks old. Tasted good to me, deliciously piney, citrus, and a touch of sweeter fruit. The darker German malts in this one are a nice soft touch in the finish.

I believe @drtth and I think @JackHorzempa like it with a bit of age on it as well. Maybe they can chime in with their personal sweet spot for this seasonal.

    Now...back on topic.

Just picked up a nice mix of sessionable offerings...Uinta Pale Ale, Yard Sale, Honker's Ale and I snagged a six pack of Weihenstephan Original bottled on November 3rd (score!). The six pack of Nugget Nectar is for the party, I think this one can please both old school and new school hop heads, kind of like how Celebration Ale still remains popular.

My personal sweet spot is between 2 and 6 weeks old. As do you I find it just a touch harsh during the first two weeks and then after about 6 weeks I begin to notice a bit of fade to the hop profile. I still enjoy it at 8 weeks but wouldn't describe it as being a shadow of itself, just not quite in my sweet spot. Been getting a fresh case each year for the last 6 years or so and it's much the same pattern. Although I do think there may be a tad of batch to batch variation, over the years but I've enjoyed every single case.

For me it would depend on just how fresh yours is at the moment. For my tastes a month after bottling it is still in my sweet spot.

Already started today with a pint of Cellarmaker Yolo Once. Great Beer! I don't understand why they haven't put anything into bottles (or cans) yet.

Pregame will be a bomber of St. Archer Mosaic IPA. I dont' care who owns them, they make great beer.

For the game I've got a bomber of El Segundo Power Plant TIPA that was bottled on Friday.

If you are ever in NorCal you owe it to yourself to stop by Beercraft in Rohnert Park. I guarantee that you would not be able to find another taproom/bottle shop that is pouring six beers from Cellarmaker, Russian River, and/or SARA and has a supply of awesome SoCal hops that had been driven up by the brewery two days earlier so that it could be available on the same day it was released down South!

I foresee a great game if the Broncos keep from double dribbling and the Panthers keep their icing to a minimum they might get a birdie or two......regardless of who wins this years Winston Cup I will celebrate with the fantastic libations I have in the growlers for this years Stanley Cup....or is it Winston....Brickyard????.....oh well, here is the growler selection....

    Mikkeller Black
    Bad Tom Coal Hearted Killer
    Bell's Double Cream
    and Uinta Port O' Call

May the best cheerleader wave the drivers to victory!

    Cheers

Starting with a '15 KBS (first time trying this beer, excited) and then moving on to some three week old Two Hearted 16oz cans. Really can't stand Manning or the Broncos, so I'm pulling for the Panthers. As a Lions fan I'm always guaranteed to be able to sit and enjoy the Superbowl with no anxiety.

I'm going with Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale. If the Broncos win, I'll be shotgunning some Coors Banquet.

I agree 100% with @drtth, NN is best from 2-6ish weeks but is still enjoyable to drink at the 2 month mark.

    Cheers!
