I am travelling through Superior, WI tomorrow and the week after heading North on 53 for my yearly vacation to the VNP. Does anyone know of the best place to find good beer as close as I can get to 53?
Lq store or brewpub/bar?? Thirsty Pagan is in Superior. If I were you I'd detour to Duluth and go to Fitgers.
BA has a handy tool for these inquiries....if you do a search under places, you can see reviews and if you click on the "map" link, you can see where the place is located. I use this every time I travel and it has never failed me!!! And btw, cross the river and try to find some brews from Borealis Fermentery....you will not be disappointed!!!
Looking for a store, but open to a brewpub if they sell a good amount. I have tried that atone315 and wanted to explore some fresh opinions. edit: a healthy selection of New Glarus would be good.
I could be wrong, but I think Pike Lake Liquours is on 53 (MN side) and carries Surly. It has been a couple years since I stopped there though.
Keyport Liquor 1900 Belknap Ave in Superior, right by the Bong Bridge to Duluth in the Super One Parking lot will have New Glarus Anniversary, Serendipity, Wild Sour Ale, & Berliner Weiss. Not to mention Founders and much more.
