You should try Fair States Crankin Foamers, I will say it gives Keller Pils a run for its money.

Really? That beer is an AAL. Summit Keller Pils is all malt. Fair State used to brew a keller pilsner (Keller Kazbek) but they never packaged it for retail distribution AFAIK.

(Although with the new beer style names, AAL becomes L-A? Doesn't have the same ring to it...)

Fair State canned the delicious Keller Kazbek for one, glorious summer.

Technically twice. In Aug 2017 it was a mixed 4 pack with 2 Kellar Kazbek and 2 Festbier. In Aug 2018, it was a 4 pack of Keller Kazbek only (Festbier was taproom). In Aug 2019, it was a 4 pack of Festbier only (Keller Kazbek was taproom).

They also did bring the Vienna Lager back for a canning run in February, so I am hopeful for Keller Kazbek as well. Those are among the absolute best lagers in MN and it is a shame to make them taproom only.

Crankin Foamers is BY FAR the best AAL I have ever had, but I don't see a comparison to a Keller Pilsner other than both pale lagers.

I normally dont care about whats in the beer but more if its a similar style or not. When I was serving, people would come in and say what do you have thats like a Coors Light? And I was like well ..heres this and this, and that would introduce them to a beer thats similar to what they would expect it to be but of course its not the same beer itself besides it being a lager.

The new variety pack is one of the best packs I can think of in recent memory for any brewery. That pale ale is such a slammer and then to have grindcore, fall to pieces and furious in the pack is so good. I know public popularity for surly is low but this pack is the best 16-18 dollar deal out there. And no xtra citra for everyone too!

I went into a liquor store today and saw a guy buy 3 twelve packs of Xtra Citra. I take it he was not a member of this forum.

Huh, it's almost like @BillManley knows what he's talking about when he says that Xtra Citra is a popular beer.

Falling to pieces is hands down one of the best IPAs I've had in while (aside from weekend vibes), its 300 but better.

Man, I loved that beer. I'm a sucker for a great dunkel and boy, Schadenfruede seems like a more timely brand name than ever right now!

Remember drinking that beer at the old Travail (where PAMP) is now.

A beer like Schadenfruede in cans is what I'd buy from Surly. I don't need any more new IPAs, hopped up beers or sours. Yes, I know I'm in the small minority.
