Stopped in the brewery today, and it was an absolute zoo. No Abrasive, but I was told it was being released tomorrow...

Anyone know when this will be on tap at the brewery?

Had my first (and second) Abrasive of the season last night at Pinstripes. Cans were dated 1/12/15. I'll probably get kicked off BA for saying this but I think that it was just as good this year as last year. I was told that deliveries to the stores are scheduled to begin next week on their regular dates.

I'm in FL but being the helpful BA I am I just called...(first Google number Minneapolis location)

According to the lovely sounding and helpful "Sophia", they are waiting for Overrated to tap and then it will go on. Possibly later today but tomorrow more then likely. Go do your part for the community and drink a gallon of Overrated!

Jesus, the awful thing is, it would appear * Surly knew the prices and were ok with them. I would have left immediately, are we really at the point where a IIPA costs almost a $1/oz? Darkness among others are cheaper than that.

    * I say appears as this seemed to be a Surly sponsored event , 1 of 2 in the whole Metro.

P.S I also have no idea why they wouldn't hold the release at your BRAND NEW 30 MILLION DOLLAR BREWERY

Yeah, but did they say if it was BA or non BA Abrasive? Those High West barrels come at a price... :stuck_out_tongue:

$9.50 for a 10 oz pour on release night, fuck off.

I think it was $6 for 12 oz last year at Sweeney's.

I'm sure the destination brewery was doing brisk business throughout the evening; no need to have a release party there. And +1 on the price being ridiculous.

Good fuck. Makes one wonder what the cost of a four-pack is going to be. Or maybe they'll become three-packs?

That's a ridiculous price at pub42. I don't think surly had much sway in the price at local establishments though. I doubt it'll be that expensive at the brewery. It was $7/16oz can on opening weekend. I thought I heard somewhere that it was $6/can at pinstripes. Doesn't make any difference to me whether my abrasive comes from a can or a keg.

I sure hope it doesn't get my expensive. $16 for a four pack I thought was pricey. And then Blakkr was $18 or $19 a four pack.

Seriously. Abrasive's good, but it's not that good. A couple years ago at the Wet release party at Tracy's, they were selling them 2-for-1.
