Probably from back when they were dialing in the new centrifuge.

I think was two or, probably, three years ago at least.

Had a Dirt Wolf last night. That had a shit load of sediment.

Nope, it was last year for sure. Had multiple cans that did it.

Perhaps you're right. That was too long ago. 'The luck is gone. The brain is shot, but something, something we still got!':slight_frown::confused::grinning:

I am right. :stuck_out_tongue: Though technically, it is 2 years ago if you just look at the year from the first canning last time and this time.

I am only sure of it as it grosses me out. I remember our first possible snow in October in 13. I bought a new snow blower and was putting it together in the garage and drinking an Abrasive with floaties, i had to let it settle before drinking. The can is actually still in the garage.

I can't wait any longer. I need an Abrasive fix. My question is has anyone opened a bad can from the 1/23 canning?

Has Surly addressed this lack of floaties? I want answers!

Princeton's just sent out an email with this little blurb.

I may have to stop by, for purely scientific reasons.

Anyone else think Fulton's Insurrection is better than Abrasive?

Edit: I liked it just as much or more

No and it's not even close.

It's blasphemy in these parts, Craig. I'm gonna do it though. I haven't had Insurrection, but I just don't think Abrasive deserves this much love. It's a great beer, sure, but we are on 19 pages about it. It's just not the most ridiculously-awesome-omg-hoppy-amazingness-beer that one would think based on the midwest forum. Particularly for the price.

    Hey folks:
I wanted to check back regarding the Abrasive thread from the last two weeks. As you know, we asked people to get in touch with us directly (via [email protected]) if they have concerns about the beer they purchased, in specific the carbonation level of Abrasive cans. That’s our standard protocol, get in touch with us directly and we address things on a case by case basis. We heard from a couple of handful of people and got back to them to rectify or resolve the issue. Things have definitely subsided this past week but we will continue to get back to people who contact us directly and we will continue our quality checks, as we always do. As for what might have happened in this case, we aren’t exactly sure. We can only chalk it up to the early start-up runs on the canning line. We even pulled the first cases off the line and kept them at the brewery for the Beer Hall so we could check them. We have and will continue to monitor the situation and will respond to anyone who has concerns. We will continue to communicate to the public and our accounts. Thanks for all the support.

I like Insurrection a lot. For me, it's a local (read: fresher) alternative to Myrcenary, of which I'm a big fan. It doesn't quite do for me what Abrasive does for me, but even if you're the only one here who likes Insurrection as much as you do, who cares? Drink the hell out of that stuff.

To each their own but for me it easily beats Pliny and Heady. Two beers that entire libraries worth of comments have been made about.
