Don't forget the large turnover in the brewery and how that plays apart in quality...

This thread has gone absolutely insane.

How have we reached a point where it's even a discussion point of cans of Abrasive not tasting completely optimal to bottles of a barrel aged beer being infected?

"Some cans were bad, but not as bad as ******, guys!"

Do tell. How DOES that play "apart" in quality?

I bought a few 4 pks from France 44. Definately not the beer I had last year, but what they shipped me was also right at 2 months old with a 10/27 canning date. I sent them a message, IMO that's shitty to pawn off old beer, next time I'll ask. And I've ordered plenty of beer from them.

    I wouldn't be mad at F44 - I don't think anyone's seen a more current "canned on" date ... that's all that's around is end of Oct.

Ugh, why is that? They roll it out into Jan.

They brew it all at once probably in one tank enough to last through January.

We just received some 11/15 in Nebraska. Not going to lie I was a bit bummed it was a month old when it was hitting the shelves but I do think it is an improvement over the October batches

Fixed that for you. So miss those days. Once picked up a keg of Furious that was 3 days old or something ridiculous.

Has anyone noticed Milos Sandwich's is either across or next to two of the best beer stores in mpls? I dont think it's a coincidence. I know things....

I know things. Has anyone seen fresher than the bs 10/26 abrasive? Downtown area.

Ok - I don't know what this means, but I went into Haskell's Maple Grove - I'm a regular and trust these guys a ton. I asked for a 4pk of their latest Abrasive. They just got several cases from the brewery within the past couple days. They're dated 10/19. I called shenanigans that these are latest / greatest. They swore to God that they are fresh from brewery. I opened one tonight and it is absolutely staggeringly good - amazing nose, great hop bite - as I / we remember it! I have had a lot of 10/19, 10/24, and Dec batch along w a lot of tap - and this is amazing. So no idea WTF but yum. /soliloquy

This makes absolutely no sense...I have a 10/19 left in my fridge. I am gonna drink it now for science.
