Surly Abrasive

    I agree in the sense it was the only beer u used to open and could smell across the room. I remember doing blind tasting and u knew it was abrasive by the smell before taking a sip. Maybe others have caught up and exceeded, but the aroma at one point was was undeniable - heady and all the others at the time.

    Yeah, I just looked at my original review from a couple of years ago and there's a lot going on with the smell that isn't there any more. But last year's was pretty malty as I remember, so I'm happy this year's isn't.
