Surly Abrasive

    Just had one and I have to say its still fine. Its faded a little, but Id take it over most other DIPAs even if they're fresh. Its still 8.5/10 when its six months old...nice. It seems to have been refrigerated the whole time, so thats a major plus. We're so lucky to have abrasive, almost more than any other beer in this market. Considering its quality and wide (metro area) availability its one of the best beers in the market. Im mad that this years Wet batch is small though. Thats also in the 'lucky to have' list. >(

    Yes, a little more "piney" and less citrus taste than super fresh but still great!

    I found some at Murado's about a month back, and proclaimed it a world class American Barleywine.

    I might have to stop into Merwin on my way home tonight.

    I had 2 devil dancers sitting in the cellar to "cool off" - Plan on drinking on saturday. I'll try and report if its calmed down at all.

    Stone was just the most recent doubles I have been drinking a lot of since we've been flooded with them this summer. They are quite distinctly different.

    I would guess they're going to be pretty tasty.
