I'm as excited as the next guy for Abrasive, but how come nobody's talking about Brett Licker (or Liquor - only heard an oral account)?

Brett Liquor? It was on tap at Darkness Day. Haven't heard anything about a packaged release. I tried it, but at that point I was too many stouts in to have a good read on an IPA.

My understanding is there are kegs available, not sure about packages.

it is most likely a special brew that will be seen beer fests and special beer events, akin to cacao bender or fiery hell.

I still wish Abrasive was available year round. Maybe if we lobby hard enough?

I think Fiery Hell is kind of around too though.

it was a little bit, but not a ton though. brett liqueur might have been mainly a darkness day beer though.

Because it isn't a very good beer.

You should ditch that Prime Filet Mignon for a Prime Bone In Ribeye. It will change your life.

For me Brett Liquor was one of the highlights of Darkness Day.

Filet Vs. Ribeye = Stouts Vs. Porters. They're both good and of the same beast, with different personalities, and I don't trust anyone who doesnt eat them. I prefer the look/taste of a filet, but I sure as hell wont say no to a properly cooked ribeye.

Give it a few years. With how well it sells, I could see it being either a mainstay, or much more commonly brewed once Todd moves into his new home. But who knows. Maybe that is just the hopeful kid in me talking...

Nooooooooo don't make it year round. Seasonals are awesome. The anticipation is a big part of my "beer joy". I would like to see more one time brews though.

That could be said for a lot of releases. Slipperly slope!

my point is that the filet looks pretty and has a nice texture but is so void of flavor that there's no point in choosing it. the stella artois of steaks. i'm not spitting it out, but i'll never order one.
