Us people in ND should get Surly out of pure pity. Have you been to this place?

Literally. In most of the state the biggest "hill" you'll see is either: A.) a man made dike to protect from flooding or B.) the ditch

Why don't you try posting something the pertains to the topic at hand such as speculation as to where Surly will expained distribution. ;-)

Just getting the thread back on track! We can speculate about distro until we're blue in the face, doesn't change a thing since nothing's been announced yet.

    Blue Moose?

I'm surprised the JL Beers in Moorhead doesn't have Surly on tap. I'm sure there's some kind of agreement with Atomic Coffee next to Bridgeview.

Yes sir haha. I now one of the owners and many of the employees since I grew up there.

I'm really surprised the JL Beers in Moorhead doesn't have it either.

Bridgeview has the same owners as Atomic so they have been in with Surly since the beginning and in the few kegs Atomic goes through a month are just a drop in Surly's total. 99 Bottles which now has Surly cans is the same owner too.

JL Beers Moorhead, a whole new owner group and that location has been around for just a couple of years. I know people have asked them for Surly but I will have to talk to the Manager next time for the full story. I think they are on the list to get it eventually but I think they are behind other bars in the state to get it or maybe they don't want to go to the Cities to pick it up like Bridgeview/Atomic does (but I think they might if they could). I do know they have tried to get Stone and other breweries available in MN but the distributor agreement in place means that the distributors will not sell to a bar outside their service area and Stone has no distrubutor for Moorhead and the Cities distributor will not sell to them.

There's been a lot of speculation about what their increase in production means for distribution but I'm interested to see what exactly the "event center" that they are planning ends up looking like. I think Omar and Co. are drawing on what they have seen around the country from places like Stone, I think this may end up as a lot more than just a brewery with a fancy tap room.

Knowing Surly and their love of music, hopefully they incorporate a music venue!

Before we know it Surly will enter the lifestyle segment of the beverage industry. Golf resort, pool, spa and hotel for the experience of a lifetime. :astonished:
