    1) Has anyone had a souring or infected bottle of this recently?
    2) Has anyone heard anything regarding surly nine yet? Surly tends to be pretty open about this stuff and even though eight came out in November, syx and sevin were in june and july

Opened a bottle of Ei8ht tonight and it is quite delicious. No signs of Bretty funk that I experienced in the previous bottle I opened.

Josh did you buy both bottles from the same shop?

Two different stores. 1st one I had was from Total Wine in Roseville and it was noticeably funky. The one I had on Friday was from Cub Foods in Arden Hills and was awesome. I have one more from Cub Foods, fingers crossed.

I took all mine back, didn't want to deal with another bad bottle and wasting $60.

Got scotch instead. Bang for the buck and I haven't experienced quality issues yet. Scotchy scotch scotch.

I tasted the orangish citrus flavor when it first came out (did not get this strong of a flavor on tap), but it never truly tasted infected to me. Just opened a bottle this past weekend and the flavor I assume most were calling infected didn't seem to be there at all. It was delicious.

I wouldn't have had any complaints about Eight either until I opened the bottle and tasted it. It seems like some were bad and some were good. Consider yourself lucky that you got to taste what they intended.

Yeah, I've had a few bottles, all from the same place. One had more of a sour taste than others, but the most recent one tasted every bit as good as what I had on tap.
