What a weird venue. I love the Dakota, but its not exactly a hard rock venue (just thinking that most surly parties and surly in general is rock themed). Anyways they have good food and good music. Very cool. Now they just need to book some death metal for an acoustic set.

I'm assuming the special guests are members of Doomtree, so definitely not hard rock....

That's a good call considering they were planning something together! I hope the whole crew is there.

There is no "cost" category on the Dakota website for the evening so I assume there is no fee.

I'm not the best at articulating my tasting, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. You get strong SMOOTH whiskey notes, hints of vanilla, oak, every so slight orange caramel sweet notes. As it warms up, my experience grows as I exhale the now intensifying smooth whiskey rye alcohol. I love a beer that you enjoy as you exhale, too...

At 12.x%, it's beer that's meant to be sipped, but I found it hard not to want to gulp it; it was that smooth. Wished I could taste more from the base beer, but it's my favorite of their anniversary beers! I'll be buying a case.

Didn't think it'd be a difficult one to get, but seems like it will be. Fingers crossed.

I really don't think it will be that difficult, folks. All your local accounts will get some, just be cool and don't panic. Let's not turn it into chaos and pandemonium, it's in our hands to a great extent.

Yes it is time. Paid $23.99 for a bottle at Liquor Barrel GV yesterday. :grimacing::grimacing: With BCBS '14 things are getting stratospheric.

Wow. Seriously? I called and they were down to one bottle, decided not to make the drive. Instead went closer and found a hidden bottle of Rum King.
