Surly MIKKEL'S IPA In Cans

    This is been canned today and hits shelves January . I remember having this at the beerhall but can't remember much about it.

    Here they come :




    Hope Surly add some more surprises in 2016 to their lineup , would love to see them jump out with something unexpected in the year round lineup of 4 packs.

    It'll be interesting to see how bottles of this are priced. Guessing in line with Nein, but would love to see it for a few dollars less.

    My guess since they are using cheaper materials (non screen printed bottles and I assume this IPA isn't going to be waxed dipped) this will be Surly's first sub $10 bomber. $8.99 most bottle shops, $10.99 at MGM

    I believe there was talk of a bottling run, but nothing has ever been released to the public in a bottle.

    They had an empty bottle on display at the old taproom over 2 years ago but its never been released.

    I went on a tour a few months back and asked about the bottles. Apparently Misanthrope came from 1st use barrels, they then brewed a batch with 2nd use barrels and didn't yield the taste they wanted. They have the bottles already printed, they are currently in their dry storage, It seems as if they are waiting to get enough 1st use barrels.

    I liked it, had it on tap at the brewery, I would say it was the 3rd or 4th best IPA on tap that day.
