No more New Glaurus, ever, unless it's some kind of limited edition or special beer. I sincerely hope I've had my last Spotted Cow ever.

Gasp! You're gonna ruffle some feathers with that comment... There are so many good New Glarus brews, regular line or specialty. What happened? Did a Spotted Cow touch you in your swimsuit area?

The first batch of guys that came from MN last year all brought me Spotted Cow, even after I requested other stuff. I also have a surplus of Fat Squirrel and Totally Naked. None of them are bad, just very uninspiring.

Ha! I have the same feelings on some of the regulars. I second Mr. Hungus on this page as well. How could I forget Harriet?? Fabulous beer and blocks from my house!

    Ill echo others:
    Hop dish, awesome
Indeed day tripper, awesome -Shenanagins, good -Midnight rider, good
Steel toe, awesome (size 7 is the best $5 bomber from MN right now)
Olvalde is wierd IMO. some people love them though. Maybe that will be you.
Brau bros I want to like, but dont.
Dangerous man is generally very good
If you haven had town hall, masala mama rocks and so do many others from them

Last, have someone go to Surly, get a couple glasses of Cacao Bender and have them put it in a bottle. evacuate the air, and pressurize it with Co2 quickly. Then get it shipped to you in a day or 2 and enjoy one of the best brews from MN. Same with Urine Trouble. Also, when its in season, Surly Wet is the best fresh hop IPA ive ever had.

One of my employees just brought me a case of Furious, courtesy of his parents. They told him that would be the last case because Surly had sold out or closed the brewery. I haven't seen anything about that so I'm guessing it's not true. Tell me it isn't please.

Not true, or you'd heard the weeping and gnashing of teeth all the way down there.

    I'll echo other people hear:

Steel Toe is killing it right now.
I personally like Lucid's Foto IPA, not as much as Steel Toe Size 7, but worth trying. (probably not a lot of people will agree)

Bent Paddle in Duluth makes some interesting beers as well. I really enjoy Bent Paddle Golden IPA. Not an amazing IPA, just very solid.

New Glarus. I'm not a huge fan of their regular line up, but their Thumbprint series is stellar. The most recent Sour Wild is awesome.

Also growlers from Toppling Goliath are available at the Nova in Hudson, WI. PseudoSue and Golden Nugget are outstanding, with Sue being world class IMHO.

Nope. They are opening another new huge brewery in 2014 (I believe).

I send almost everyone I trade with a bottle of Steel Toe Size 7 the first time, its a solid, solid beer. And I heard Bent Paddle is going to be canning the Cold Pressed very soon, THAT is a great beer.

This was totally unsolicited, and they're not actually from Minnesota, they apparently live in Washington state. The employee saw some Surly on my desk and told me he could have his parents bring me more. Anyway, I'm hiring from Washington state now, got a new selection headed my way.

What is it that you do exactly? What are you hiring for? Just curious as I am a marketing/visual imaging/communications type and I'm always interested in what other BA's are up too?

Also I've never been to NM, but spent lots of time in AZ, NV and TX…the aesthetics in that part of the country are great!

I run a geological services company working for the oil companies in NM and west Texas. We've gone from 40 employees total(2 different companies) in 2011 to over 100 as of today. So I've been recruiting geologists for the past year. There's a strange connection between geologists and beer, maybe because we spend so much time outdoors. A lot of us also have ponytails, both the men and women.

No, none of the women I've hired have beards but the men have to shave their faces daily in case of H2S gas. I even had to shave last month.

I just stopped there tonight to pick up two more Pentagrams. Great shop. Pentagram is on sale right now. They for some reason got 9 cases of it.

Not sure if I can take you seriously....no offense. New glarus makes incredible beers. The owner sells spotted cow so he can make other world class beers and sell for basically little profit. New glarus is a gift for those that truly love beer.
