After having a pour of VII: I'll take the $9 bottle of Aurochs Horn if I want a strong Belgium. JMO.

This was Petschen's Southview Liquor, the display shelves are right next to one of the retail shelves so I was just letting my eyes wander and was all 'holy shit'.

Then I went into the cooler and saw 3 cases of 7 sitting there and got excited again...then saw the 'one per day' sign.

Very disconcerting to hear... I haven't tried my Seviin yet, but Auroch's Horn is the tits.

You'll like SeVIIn just fine then. It was plenty good. But Auroch's beats it in my opinion. I'm just not going to hunt down SeVIIn knowing that there's another, local, brew of a similar (they look nothing alike, but do smelll and taste similar) style available for half the price.

It has been a while since I've had Auroch's Horn, but I don't recall it having the big banana and clove presence that I got out of Seviin. Totally agree on the pricing take though.

Sorry for the delay. I think I paid $20/bottle. I went back on Wednesday and they still had plenty.

I'm digging this beer. I wish it was $12.99 but it has quite a bit going on with it. It's not a knock-you-down beer. I started my beer-career with lighter beers and moved to the point if an IPA didn't burn my tongue it wasn't good. Now I can respect beers that dance like a butterfly rather than just sting.

It's 12.5 ABV. There's a lot going on, I'll give you that, but at that percentage it's damn near impossible to hide all of the heat. I thought it was quite boozy.

My compliments to the wax dippers. My first bottle I cracked took me 10 minutes to get the wax off enough to open the bottle!

I always shake the bottle vigorously before I wax off. I think I may be doing it wrong.

Nice beer, but $22 a bottle is insane. As others have said, much better options for less than half the price here

Got a couple bottles around South Minneapolis for 19.99 for trading buddies. For myself, I just went to the taproom and got a 10 oz pour for $5. Happy to have a chance to try, but I will not be purchasing bottles for myself at the asking price.
