My thoughts exactly. Seriously, $20? I know they charge that because, well, people will pay it, but what merits that price point? It just seems too high.

So do you have an extra Darkness sitting around that you want to trade for an extra Seviin bottle?

We are all very lucky. For every Surly limited release there is usually plenty to go around for us to buy as much as we want. If you don't like the price or the style, just leave it for somebody who does.

sweet, my policy on Surly special releases is to drink as much as I can on tap and age bottles or save them until a special release dry spell.

Do we know if they are already selling bottles at the tap room? If so, perhaps it's worth a quick jaunt north instead of looking all over at liquor stores...

when we see this on tap it will be a 10 or 12 0z pour if we are charged $7-$9 dollars it may be < expensive then buying retail bottles

If Pentagram is any indication then you are correct. $5 for a 10oz pour = cheaper than retail bottles anywhere.

Yea I heard the price and absolutely ruled it out. Doesn't help I got roffle stomped by the storm and am scrambling to find money to do massive fence repairs and tree removal. So this one may not end up in my collection, I'm hoping some of my friends manage one or even 2 or are willing to share with me and let me keep the empty for my collection. Ugh, I have plenty of Belgian Strongs I love that are far cheaper (not that I can even afford those now though).

Eyewitness report of someone buying twenty (20!!) bottles at a St. Paul location not named here.

    Reveal yourself!

Kidding. You certainly will have appreciative trading partners AND/OR an upset liver
