    Does anyone know any information about when Surly Six will be released? What style of beer?

    I believe Todd said in a previous and now unfindable thread that it will be coming some time in April. I'm sure it won't be a big deal.

    American strong pale ale, to be the strongest beer they have brewed. While it won't be barrel aged in the traditional sense, it will be wood aged. Surly is working with Black Swan Cooperage to test other wood species for aging beer. Street date TBD.

    Where did you hear it will be the strongest beer they have brewed? Not questioning your knowledge just curious.

    From the same man who informed me about their partnership with Black Swan. It also happens to be the same guy who is charged with creating the brew.

    I guess he heard that info from me.Remember we don't brew any 10+%abv beers so this is new territory for us.And that is what makes brewing our Anniversary beers interesting and fun imo
    SŸX will be a wood aged American Strong Ale

    I am very excited for this. Surly Five was outstanding and was my 1st big time beer buy. I haven't looked back and I have Surly to thank for my empty pocket book :slight_smile:

    Darkness is listed as 9.8 on Surly's website. Four was iced.
