    Surly has used a distributor for several years to service the western suburbs. Distributor marks it up and then sells it to the retailers. Welcome to the three tier system.

    We have a keg at Longfellow Grill, watch Facebook for when we tap it. Groveland Tap has one and 3 Squares in Maple Grove.

    Just came from Haskell's in Stillwater. They said they still have cases of Syx @ $17.99/bottle. Two bottle limit per person, but they seamed pretty loose about that because they let me get three bottles. They said they received the most bottles between the other 12 Haskell's from Surly.     We all got screwed not a very good beer.
    Last week I drank the 5, which still sucked
    Tonight I am drinking the syx, and it's awful!\
    Surly needs to make darkness their anniversary beer,
    because from what I've sampled it's the only special release thats woth a damn!

    I disagree with you. I love Syx, and am glad to still have a few bottles. Five was good, but not great imo. Four was spectacular. I keep wishing they would brew it again. I keep hoping they will have a Barleywine for an anniversary beer, or add one to their seasonal lineup. Maybe when the new brewery opens, if we're lucky.
