    I would agree with you on this at least on release day, my buddy and I threw back a few glasses (he opened 3 bottles, thankfully there was like 4 of us there...). It burned and it was like a total cluster F$#$ imo. But I could sense some serious aging potential, unfortunately how long. It seems like with 5 and Syx now that their anniversary beers are turning into Deschutes anniversary releases, they need a "Drink After" date. 5 was awful fresh, but with even 6 months it got better and a year it got amazing. I haven't tried Syx since, but have toyed with opening one here soon, I'd say for the apocalypse on Friday but I think my 2010 Abyss may win that battle.

    I am expecting the one bottle of Syx I kept to age well. This thing won't be opened for at least two more years though.
