We aren't talking about 'every beer'. We're talking about IPAs. In particular we're talking about the Surly lineup, Furious, Abrasive, Overrated, and (hopefully soon) Axe Man.

There would be outrage if Clark lowered his own margins to keep prices down for consumers?

Axe Man will begin to drop next week in small quantities with larger quantities to follow.

Can't wait! After all the canning issues with Abrasive I am excited to not worry about getting a $16+ 4-pack and have it be flat.

Anybody know if this will for sure hit Iowa and if so, when?

Did they even can it yet?

How fresh have the recent draft drops been around MN?

I was passing through Rochester yesterday and had a glass at Whistle Binkie's. I hadn't been in there for a little while, and there was no Todd at the time (can't remember exactly when) and this didn't taste quite up to snuff. Still really good, but it reminded me a little of what happens to Overrated after 40 days or so. A+ to an A-/B+, I guess.

Chalking it up to possible old age on the keg and looking forward to cans!

They pulled it off taps at the beer hall last week-ish for the canning run so one has to assume it's any day now.

Yep. Furious is the first beer I reach for. After seeing the February date, it's the first beer I put back.

Does anyone know what the distribution is looking like for the Todd Cans? We get Surly here in Illinois so was just curious if this was also going to include Todd.

From the way it's been described to me at the brewery, it's a seasonal and will be treated similarly to Abrasive and Blakkr. If you got those, I would assume you'll get Todd.

I'm 45 minutes south of Founders and we consistently get almost month-old stuff here. Distribution is weird.

    On the delivery today;
    Overrated dated 6-25
    Furious dated 6-30
I think those are pretty fresh.

Think about it though, most businesses only get deliveries every 7-10 days (from a specific distro or brewery), so you already have a week+. Then the brewery wants to get their older stock out of the way first, then it goes to the distro, then to the store (maybe there is also a distro warehouse it goes to before it goes on to a truck to individual liquor stores), then the store wants to get through their older stock as well, so actually after all that 2-3 week old beer I would not complain about. Its just when it gets to month+ I would start wondering about what's all happening in-between the brewery and the liquor store.

You can always ask if the store has any fresher stock in back.

We get deliveries twice a week from our biggest distributors. I'm guessing that is somewhat normal at high volume stores. Your point stands though
