Finally cracked my 2/17 cans. Agree no head/retention. But man, I love this stuff. Couldn't have just one.

Not sure if this is fact or not, but I know in previous discussions it has been brought up that, according to Surly, this is the most expensive beer that they brew. Thus, the high cost for consumers.

Sorry, but all I saw in your post was this. Is "Good for you!" an acceptable reply?

    Seems a bit personal.

The issue seems to be less about getting head than about how long it lasts, apparently.

Isn't it always about how long you get it?

So psyched that I was able to get a 4 pack of this online. I dont care that I paid $40 for Todd and a 4 pack of Bender. Yes, shipping sucks but hey i look at it as a once in while treat living here in NJ.

FYI, I have bought up to 2 cases of Abrasive at a time, and the shipping is still $20. Might want to do an order share to share the shipping costs.

Next time, just post a trade, and you would have gotten a better deal. I'll ship out $25 worth of beer to NJ for some of you local stuff!
    Enjoy!

For those placing orders from F44, don't forget they also have Surly Blakkr and some Toppling Goliath offerings. Might make the shipping on the order more worthwhile.

I can second this. I got Darkness three straight years from them and would still be using them if they hadn't been told by the state of Illinois (crooks) that they were to stop shipping here.

I thought the todd was okay. Mixed it with some abrasive to keep it interesting

Just cracked a 2/16 Todd, and it is nothing short of amazing. No carb issues at all, though the 2-finger head dies down to nothing after a while. But there is still prickly carb through the entire glass. Fantastic stuff, and plenty fresh IMO.

This is a flawless IPA. I could care less that the head dies down quicker than in other IPAs. Carb is perfect, awesome tropical flavors with a nice lingering bitterness.

Got a 4 pack of the 2/16 today. First can is flat as flat can be, but the flavor is on point. disappointing but even flat and nearly 3 weeks old - it's still the best double IPA on the shelf.
