What are the canning dates on the bottom of the cans of these two batches you speak of @PSU_Mike ?

This batch is 2/16. The first batch was months ago.

So is 2/16 the most recent batch to be found in coolers?

2/23 actually. They made a couple batches in this recent run. I had the 2/23 and it was tasty.

It probably is just a matter of timing.

Had a 2/25 can for the first time last night. Loved it, reminds me a lot of Hop Juju from Fat Heads. That being said, I did notice the head retention was very odd. Didn't feel that the beer was undercarbonated, but pouring it in the glass and watching the head eviscerate was strange.

Wow had a 2/17 and it is dang good shreds your face smells like a grapefruit explosion. It definitely tastes a lot better than last summer's cans which I thought was way more bitter.

@PSU_Mike are you confusing Abrasive and Todd?? Are you saying there were canning dates of Dec/Jan of Todd???
Weren't they still kicking out Abrasive?

I had a store that got 2/23 on its first drop and 2/17 on the second drop.

You're not understanding. I'm talking the first canning run of Todd maybe in June or so compared to this canning run.

This is true on your visual observation , while Todd is carbonated and the taste is good, the look and feel is sub-par IMO, towards the end of the pint Todd is on the flat side to me and does not taste as good .

Batches do change thought 02/25 was > 02/16.. just better at the end of the pint IMO.

Probably would have been much easier if you would have just said last year's Todd vs. this years. But yest, I would agree that last years was better. Seems to always be the case with any seasonal

It's always been a knockout on tap for me. Was disappointed in many of the 4 packs I had from summer last year.

Had 2/17 a few weeks ago and thought it was great. Figured that any kinks with cans had been worked out.

Pick up some 3/2 yesterday, and found it lacking the same pop in flavor, more in line with last year. Will likely stick to catching it on draft going forward.

My first tap Todd was a revelation.

Since then, I've generally preferred the canned versions.

Anybody else find visible floaters in some of their 2/17 cans? I had this in the last couple cans I opened and thought that was premature. No issue in 2/25 cans I've opened.

Yep had that same issue in all 4 of my 2/17 cans.

Did you have floaties when it was "fresh"?

Stuff can drop out of suspension as the beer ages. I have seen this with Abrasive (and other beers) in the past, the first 2-3 cans don't have floaties and the last can if drank some time after the first will have floaties.

You 2/25 cans, if sat on for a bit more may start to develop floaties.
