First canning I thought was last Thursday the 20th from what I remember. Mine today was canned 9-25. I'd imagine they do multiple batches/canning throughout the harvest. Be a short run since it's fresh hops.

My dumbass forgot to save the can from last year's Wet for my beer pyramid.

If anyone got an extra 4 pack, I wouldn't mind setting up a trade. I dunno, Oude Tart (something in the $20 range right)? I usually like to get the most bang for my buck shipping wise, so hopefully we could expand from there.

    Surly Wet Rulz.

If you look on Twitter, there is a picture of Omar with a Twins player and a butt load of Wet cans in the background. The picture, with the headline saying the pic was taken today. If that's any indication, there may be a second run.

On a second closer look, those may be Hell cans.

Ahaahahahahaaa you people paid almost 20 dollars for 4 beers, enjoy getting mercilessly gouged I guess. I know Wet is awesome, but I'll start on my 12 pack of Torpedo that I spent 12 bucks on and be 10x happier than y'all. Where do you all work that you can piss this much money away? And no, I'm not going to read any replies to this post.

I read(from Firkins, I think) that SurlyFest is the shortest and fastest selling seasonal. I think the price point detracts some buyers to jump on WET. From what it seems like WET makes a more prolonged appearance. Last years was great and I'm very intruiged by a Simcoe single hops brew, I haven't had Weyerbacher's.

I'll be interested in seeing how this year's version holds up. Last year I drank a 4 pack that was from the first canning and it was in my top 3 for the year, but then I drank a 4 pack from one of the last cannings and it was almost a different beer entirely!... and not in a good way.

Maybe todd will chime in, cause I seriously doubt they are doing multiple batches of this. Certinaly not into November.

I'm curious what the dates were from the first canning compared to the close to the last canning was that you had? So from top 3 beer to a bad beer? Okay beer? I just always hear people talk about how quick hops fade and that it has to be 'fresh'. But just trying to figure where that fine line is. I can't imagine if it's sitting in the tanks for an extra week or two it would make that big of a difference. In cans, sitting on shelves or in a warehouse maybe. But then again I don't work in a brewery. I'm GUESSING or THOUGHT they just did a few cannings of this beer all within a month.

I think it released later last year than this? I think it was early October when it hit.

Just picked it up at Booze Mart on Robert Street in West St. Paul. They have a ton of it.

Obviously just trolling but ill chime in. I only have X number of dollars to spend on brew each month, and while I too will also spring for a 12 pk of SN or Summit over Wet, probably not nesessary to laugh at those do purchase it. I do think its crazy that places have to put limits on 4 pks that are priced upwards of $16. Goes to show how crazy people are about Surly, and a select few other breweries. Some certainly dedicate much of their discretionary income towards beer. Good for them.

My beer budget has shrank dramactially over the past year, so Surly rarely makes its into my fridge anymore. Luckily there are quite a few tasty options out there for around a buck a bottle!

My father in law grabbed me a 4 pk. at Heritage Wednesday (bless his heart) and I have to agree...it is really good.
With the short time its here, and how it impressed me, yeah. I'll be buying more.

Trolling is an Internet slang term used to describe any Internet user behavior that is meant to intentionally anger or frustrate someone else. It is often associated with online discussions where users are subjected to offensive or superfluous posts and messages in order to provoke a response.
