Anyone else gonna be going? Just grabbed a ticket, kinda sucks that it went up $10 from last year. Oh well, it is always a good time and I can always use another Surly stein!

Got some tickets today in person. Will be my first Surlyfest.

Yep, 28% increase in ticket price for the same number of beers is pretty hard to swallow.

Actually looking at the news release from last year it was $35 and the DD ticket has gone down 3 bucks. Not too bad when you break it down: $7 admission, $8 mug (what they charge at the brewery anyways), four pours at $6.25 each.

Darkness Day is free...we don't pay admission there (at least we did not in the past), why should we assume that there is now a "fee" to go in? Pretty big increase and many people do not drink all 4 beers. Bummer...

Last year you could go to the brewery and save the $5 fee, looks like you can't this year.

I think DD may have been referring to designated driver not Darkness Day.

I'll pass on SurlyFest this year and save my money for the Summit event. They have a huge entertainment line-up and I always have fun. You have to pay for the beer, but there's no limit and for $18.00 (no fees) - seems like the hot ticket to me!

Surlyfest is a blast! Well worth it in my opinion. I haven't been in a couple o years because I wind up getting to fucking drunk, but that's my problem...hard to get home cheaply haha. I'll be at Summit for sure, easy bike ride from my crib.
