Understood, and like I said before, I will not call out my target, and if he does not send, that will be between him and I. I guess my first mistake was to "send" to a good friend. If he does not send, I hope it will never be know who he is and I will take the fall as the asshole when I send out a new box Tuesday.

Justin has put out a timeline. Beer is going to go out. I'd just keep this thing positive and chalk it up as a fuckup that has been remedied. No finger pointing, no lynch mobs and no accusations.

 

I also do not think I stole any beer or think that anyone thinks I did. I also know my target did not either. He stated he was going to just send my box on because he did not have time to deal with beer right now and I told him if that is what he was going to do, he should keep my beer and that I would send out another box to one of the people I remember being on the list.

 

I'm not talking about Justin, I'm talking about the person to whom the box was delivered and has not shown up to provide any details of what the box contained, or to thank Justin for being willing and able to continue this when he in fact was not supposed to be in it at all, or to express their intention to keep it going. This has been extended over nearly an entire month with literally 0 communication and without even being told who it is we're talking about. The above comment (made after mine) is the first we're hearing that the person has been unable to post or spend time on BA. Especially without this information, the situation is getting dangerously close to 'stealing beer'.

edit: After reading the posts between when I started posting and clicked "post", let me add:

I am not looking to start a lynch mob.

If you giving a box of beer to a buddy turns out to be just that, and the next iteration of this box takes a month longer than it should it certainly wouldn't be out of character for this BIF as it has played out so far (it's actually as much entertaining to see what will be the next calamity as anything else).

Whether it is you (Justin) that ends up sending out the box, or 'mystery man' does, or if Nate does himself just to get it back off the ground, none of that matters to me; it doesn't even really matter to me if it ever gets off the ground again. The only issue I have here is that there's been a dire lack of communication, without much in the way of explanation and mostly just a series of tiredly coy teaser responses with no real substance. If the sender-to-be is having an issue, let us know; no details needed, just please communicate.

 

Kevin...I'd back off that. Just saying.

The situation for this BIF is being handled by Justin. Sometimes you're not entitled to what you think you are entitled to.

This will get off the ground again. You all have my word.

Part of me wants to be the one to send anyways so people like you don't have a target to assault.

 

At the end of the day there are all different types of people. Someone always pulls out the "lets get him" card and has torches and pitchforks out and then there is always some saying "why can't we all just get along". It's just beer everyone (I know to sometimes is way more important) but at the end of the day, it is all future piss!!

This will be resolved by Tuesday at the latest.

Only, I don't think it was missed, I think it was never said. That piece of information would have avoided all of this.

edit: Going back, you did at one point say "life is preventing posting pics", but that did not explain a lack of any activity, or mention that it may be longer-term than a day or two.

Seriously there IS communication, just not directly with you. You need to understand the difference.

 

Box is headed out today. My target decided to pass the same box on that was sent to him. I hope whomever gets this box has at least a want or 2 hit.

Shipping hint 1: This box is headed east

Box hint 1: From what I remember sending to my target (who then forwarded one), this box will hit 0 wants, but like I said, this box was not intended for you anyway so enjoy...

 

All, it was my who was the hold up on the box. Justin gave me the box some time ago. I failed you all miserably. Normally I can get boxes out pretty fast, however life has consumed my time and I just didn't get the box out. In fact Justin @IPAFan521 gave me the box and I never even opened it. Took it home, out of the truck and threw it in the beer closet. I was hoping to get the box out and just failed. I suck, I know it. I owe you all an apology. Justin was trying to be a good friend and take the heat for my short comings. It is NOT his fault. All my fault. He poked me about it and I failed to get it done. I do not want to make excuses as there are none. I'm a man and just failed to do my part. I will own up to this one and put my big boy pants on. I promise that go forward it won't happen again.

The box was sent out yesterday from my work, it should arrive before the end of the week.
I replaced with beers that should be close to the wants of the new target.

Hint# 2 - Box is heading to a state in which I have traveled before.
Hint#3 - The target the box is headed to has identity issues
Hint#4 - Hint #3 was the weakest hint I've ever seen posted on BA
