Suwanee Bottle Shops

If you are only interested in that area, there is only one option. It can be hit or miss on the selection, but there is a package store just west of 85 on 317 called Suwanee Package Store.

I would be shocked if there were any real gems there in the categories you mentioned. You are looking for the styles that are usually the first to go.

Other than one store in Roswell, the best bottle shops are nowhere near the burbs. The best ones are inside the perimeter.

 

Beverage Superstore just east of I85 on 317 is probably a better bet. Although good luck finding rarities OTP.

 

I have not been to that one (only ever been in the other one once), but you would definitely know more about that section of town than me.

 

I agree w/ Georgiakiwi. Beverage superstore is the best option in Suwanee. Its worth the trip to Atlanta to hit up Hop city, or Green's bev

 

The above sentiments are exactly right. The store East of I85 has about 3x the space and selection as the one West of I85. There is another store just West of I85 by about 200 yards that isnt even worth the stop in, it's all Bud/Miller/Coors.

Depending on how good a friend and where his Atlanta itinerary takes him, your best bet is to convince him to drive 20 mins (off peak traffic hours) south and hit Green's on Buford Hwy.
If he attempts said drive between the hours of 7-9am or 4-6pm he may never speak to you again. Just sayin.

You won't find anything like that on shelves. He might find Westbrook cans, Sweetwater and Terrapin 22oz offerings, Founders Breakfast Stout, Ballast Point, Jai Alai, Three Taverns, Victory Dirtwolf, etc.

Look up a Total Wine location in Georgia and check out their inventory on the interwebz to see what is generally available in GA.

If you think those are not rare, you need to set your expectations a LOT lower. Those are you have to be on a list to get them and they never make it on the shelf sort of beers.

 

Any Craft Beer Bars in the ATL ? Suggestions if any ?

 

Westbrook Gose, CCB Jai Alai, or Terrapin Wake and Bake would be the best choices IMHO. And 3 totally different styles.

Have you researched any? The Porter and The Brickstore are two of the mostly highly rated beer bars in the World.

 

The Porter and The Brickstore are pretty damn popular.. There's a couple more in the area worth stopping in at around those two.
