So, I just plugged my kegerator back in (after a hiatus when I didn't have anything kegged) and I put in a new keg of beer. I get home this evening and there is a little puddle on the floor. Both my keg and my airtank have been sweating up a storm in there. It seems cold enough, so does anyone have any ideas why this happened?

It has never happened before, so I'm a little confused and hoping it's nothing to worry about. Thanks!

It's almost certainly condensation. Warm, humid air enters the kegerator, gets chilled below the dew point, moisture comes out of the air, to land on the kegerator sides, and keg.

Yeah, I'm on the condensation part. Just not sure why this is the first time I noticed it happening. My concern is that it's being caused by some aggressive temperature variations in my kegerator. But maybe that is a product of me turning on the 'rator with the keg already in it.

I'm an appliance repair tech, and nathanjohnson is correct. You need to find the source of the leak. It is probably the door gasket isn't sealing in one spot. Or a leak from the tapper into the refrigeration compartment. Seal your lines with permagum, which remains flexible.

    OHHHH
Wipe everything down, equalize temps, and see if it comes back.

I think the fresh keg is the culprit. However, there is also the leak issue which, as you guessed correctly, was due to a poor seal on the corner of the door. I will see if I can fix that as well, so that if it sweats again it doesn't end up leaking on my floor. Cheers!
