On the mistake front, Two Hearted 12 pack for the price of a 6. Was $10.99
I tried to tell them it was priced wrong. The kid didn’t believe me. I told him to ask his manager and I’ll be back tomorrow to buy more if it wasn’t an error. Of course it was fixed. But I always liked the store, so I couldn’t buy more in good conscious.

As for best actual bang for your buck.

Genesee Bock, Celebration cases and those High West 6-packs. What a deal those were.

In my case that I posted on page 1, the sweet deals I mentioned I did mention a possible error in pricing.
In the situation where I bought 4 4 packs of Duvel, I asked the owner of the store if this was real, he said yes, he just wanted to make room by getting rid of stuff that wasn't selling.
And I forgot another 'sweet deal'. A local bar not really known for the beer selection had a keg of Bourbon County, no one was buying it so they started selling it for 5 dollars a pint and surprisingly(or maybe not) it sat around for a couple weeks.

I had gotten a case of Goose Island The Muddy and Otto's Jolly Roger Imperial Stout for like $20 each in the discounted section. There was also Uinta Anniversary Barleywine, but I passed on that.

As far as wrong prices marked, I got a case of Goose Island IPA pounders for around $20 and an SN Bigfoot 6 pack for like $9. I was still new to craft, so I didn't realize the GI was supposed to be more (price wasn't marked). I told the store about Bigfoot and they insisted it was right. Not too long after, the price was changed to like $15.

I see the founders cbs 4 packs now for $25. As far as top tier and bang for your buck that seems really good. You can try some and you know they’ll last a long time and possibly improve with age.
Especially when you take into account you don’t have to go to the brewery and stand in line or something ridiculous. This is rated #13 out of millions of beers.

Here in Houston. About 4 yrs ago @ a little truck stop/convince store I had 4 pk of Karbach's Rodeo Clown for $3.99. I asked if this was the right price & they scanned it again. Still $3.99 so grabbed another. Went back 2 wks latter got 3 for $5.99 ea. Went back about a month latter & they only 1 pk left. Asked when will they get more & they said it wasn't selling well & stopped selling it.

A couple of years ago the local grocery store had Lagunitas Sixers for $5.99, I bought a sixer of Maximus and a sixer of High Westified. When I realized that High West was the same price I went back and took everything on the shelf, 5 sixers.
It was supposed to sell for $10.99......

I've gotten some great deals on closeout cases for $13-16 a case, among the better examples was a 12 bottle case of (almost out-of-date, but still tasty) Gnomegang 750s and a similar case of Samuel Smith Yorkshire Stingo 500 ml bottles, both at about 1.5x the retail price for 1 bottle.

I had a local shop selling growler fills of Founders Better Half for $5 last winter. I picked up two of those.

Probably my all time favorite purchase was a case of Bell's Saturn. They had a case limit at the General Store for $43. I still have some bottles and each bottle tastes better than the last.

Well I scored big earlier this year with a massive purchase of Bruery Terreux stuff. Long story short, I work at a craft beer shop and got cost on them.

What I ended up getting was:

    Tonnellerie Rue 26oz Bottle x 12
    Saixon 26oz bottle x12
    Sans Pagaie 26oz Bottle x12
    Rueuze 26oz Bottle x12

Up in Canada these usually run around $13.99 CAD cost price per bottle which would be a total of around $671 CAD

I however through the graces of god, scored these guys for $2.12 a Bottle for a total of $101.76

    TOTAL SAVINGS: $569.24 CAD

Think I did pretty well considering 1. how expensive beer is in Alberta and 2. the availability of American craft beer up here is lacking to say the least, but slowly getting better. Although with all these tariffs "Donny" has put on everything the U.S. craft beer is just insanely expensive. For example founders KBS and CBS sell for $32.99/ 4-pack at retail. Still drinking the hell out of it and loving it but damn these prices.

anyway let me know what you think folks. Did I get a good deal or not?

Best deal I've seen lately has been at Pizza Boy. Not too long ago, they did $30 cases of 16 oz cans of anything I believe. Right now, they are doing $50 mix and match cases of 16 oz cans. Comes out to about $8 for a 4 pack. Crazy considering that includes Double IPAs, Imperial Stouts, Hazy IPAs, Sours, etc., which are like $16-18 for a 4 pack at other breweries. And they are fresh too.

In the Midwest I guess? Like Missouri and Iowa and Kansas? We have a grocery called hyvee and it’s one of the best beer selection in my opinion and once in a while you can find vintage goose island sisters for 10 dollars a bottle. There was a different grocery store in my neighborhood that had goose island Juliet for 5 dollar store a bottle all day whenever I wanted. They had like 5-6 cases of it. I think I ended up getting 3 of them

Not that impressive but a couple of years ago, a store was selling Samuel Smith Yorkshire Stingo for the same price as their regular beers. Around $5 a bottle. I loaded up on that one.

Back in 2015 a local distributor was sent an extra pallet of Founders Breakfast Stout. They contacted Founders that it was sent to them by mistake, but Founders didn't want it back and told them to do what they wanted with it. They marked the cases down to $19.99 each, so I bought two. I was tipped off about this by a co-worker who's husband was friends with the guys at the distributor. When I walked in the supplies were dwindling, but there was one guy standing there staring at the sign perplexed, muttering "this just can't be right."

This probably isn't exactly in the spirit of the thread, but it's a story that still makes me happy and made me feel appreciated as a customer. Back in 2019 I was a day or two away from leaving for a beach vacation with my family. I was doing some food delivery work then and was taking an order to an address that looked very familiar to me. When I pulled up I noticed that it was indeed my favorite local brewery. They had already tipped generously. I spent some time talking to one of the employees that recognized me as a regular. At the end of the chat he told me to wait and scurried off. He came back with two 4-packs for me on the house for the trip. That was definitely the best tip I'd ever received.
