Really dug that one last year when I got to try it on tap. Saw the bottles on the local shelves but couldn't get myself to pay the $10.99 for it though. Hoping to see it make an appearance at the local bars though.

Nice...I'll hunt that one down. Thanks! I think we probably have similar IPA tastes if you're an Alpine guy...I dig my Alpine / Societe / Boneyard / Ninkasi, Vermonts (HF, Lawson's, Alchemist, etc...), Melvin Brewery, etc...

As for the posts above -- we had Avery and Odell distro in MN, so yes -- I love Dugana and Myrcenary and like but don't love their normal IPAs. As it relates to GD and OB IPAs (and even Modus to an extent) I'm not really concerned with the ratings of others but they're maltier than I like, not always fresh and lack the hop bite I love from our coastal brethren. Just a matter of taste I suppose...and I've tried a TON of CO locals both brewery only and shelf...just a ton of blah offerings IMO. Outside of Myrcenary -- there isn't a single, regular CO IPA / IIPA I walk into a store and grab. Have never had that problem in MN or CA or other places -- hence my generalization (which seems to be generally supported by others on this thread). It's just opinions though...nothing to get gears ground about...

^^ Addendum: see this is what drives me nuts...drinking this Elevation now and it's superb! We need brews like this year round...in 4pks ideally!!

    Really, really nice beer...

Nearly everything I've had from Elevation has been great. I'm curious about that one now.

I just finally had Surly at the Burning CAN festival this past weekend, and now I'm hooked - this France 44 I googled is a liquor store that will ship here? Thanks!

Yes. I'm not positive if they ship to CO per se, but I believe they do. I know they definitely ship out. Other breweries to check out from MN that they sell at France 44:

    - Steel Toe
    - Indeed
    - Occasionally Fulton and Lift Bridge have solid offerings too...

    Enjoy!

France44 ships to Colorado. Or at least they did about a year ago.

I had a first-go-round of Oil Man somewhere back a few years ago when they first started and it was kinda not great, and then I had it this past year and it was phenomenal. That was the first time anything from Elevation wasn't amazing and even THEN it was "fixed" within a year. Everything else I absolutely love... only knock is it's always super pricey, haha.

Wish I could've had it - got to try Bitter, Furious and Coffee Bender... Coffee Bender gave my boner a boner. Can't imagine how good Abrasive is!

Oil Man was great when I tried it on tap.

The bottle I tried was infected though and I haven't bothered buying another bottle of it since. Come to think of it, I haven't bought a 750 bottle of anything from Elevation since then, I've stuck with their stuff on tap when I can find it.

Really like their stuff, in general. I know I am one of the few, maybe even only one, but I actually enjoy First Cast quite a bit when fresh. I totally can see why it isn't a hit with most (and them labeling it a West Coast IPA is definitely a bad move on their part) but it can definitely hit the spot for me. One of the more interesting grain bills for an IPA that I am familiar with, IMO.
