Sweetwater Johnny Hash

Oh, I'm a SW fan.. More or less because they are a "local" and a large brewery, but they rarely send out something that is, OH MAN thats great.. Johnny Hash was their best hit when up to bat so far. They like hoppy beers, and that one was great. I like their IPA just fine when I'm in the mood to kill some local stuff and not bother with anything else.

That said- they don't quite care about making beer people seek out, or something that outsiders would seek, atleast thats the feeling I've gotten. They are happy pumping out their regular flag ship stuff and filling up Publix and Kroger coolers, and calling it a day. It keeps the lights on, and no reason to burn whalez blubber.

 

I wouldn't consider their Dank Tank series that experimental. More like, they do it to try and stay relevant to the locals by having something new to look at.

 

Speaking of Johnny Hash, is there any available in the vicinity of Santa Rosa, FL? Heading there this weekend, and unfortunately Birmingham doesn't get any Dank Tanks...that I've seen in a long while.

 

I think their Dank Series "The Price is Wrong" is one of the most underrated beers I've had.
