I'm hoping you guys can help me find a good deal on a case of 750 ml swing top bottles. I want to bottle some larger portions of beer for gifts. I know it comes up every once in a while on the forum, but I'm striking out on the search feature.

Anyone have any lemons off Amazon?

Go to your bottle redemption center. I got more swing tops ,pints, than you can believe. Check it out. Sometimes they will save them for you.

They acted like I was taking money out of their pocket last time I talked with them.

@inchrisin i got the same thing till I offered them 25 cents apiece. This was a couple years ago, so things may have changed, but that price is cheaper than new.

The 1L swing top bottles commonly found at the LHBS and various online homebrew outlets are very sturdy. Pressure tested at 100psi.

They cost a lot more than 25 cents a bottle, though. Due to shipping weight, they are sometimes cheaper to buy locally.

The worst part about that would be that I know that some glass jerk is pocketing the money.

Yup, rack of 20 half liter bottles around 18 euro which includes the deposit and the tasty beer you get to drink prior to using them for your home-brew.
