Speaking of Straight Jacket! Vacation 2014 started out with a bang...of thunder and lightning and thus power went out before we got to the island . We walked into a 84 degree house. So, I threw a Straight Jacket into a dethawing freezer, mostly bc it seemed a brew that'd get along with room tenperature. Handed son off to the lady, lit the grill (weber charcoal...I defy you to tell me there's a better vacation grill!!!), and came back to pop the SJ.

Poured a big one, threw it back in the freezer, then undercooked a filet for me , over cooked one for the wife, and lit a bunch of candles. Kid in the bed, snapped a pic of a rainbow (Fripp is the shit). My wife and I have a weird thing about rainbows. Saw one the minute we stepped out of the church after our wedding, the day her dad had open heart surgery, the day my dad told us his colon tumor was benign, the day we put our dog down, and the day out son was born. Not sure this vacation is anything special, but if I see one, it's getting snapped.

I'll be drinking this week. I'll share as I can. Cheers folks!

I'm still a sour noob! I've got plenty o' ticks left bf I need to worry about that one. Besides, I just like dressing in leather, driving dunebuggies, and wielding maces thunderdome style! We don't need another hero!!!

No one got the brewer right (Stone, Track 7, Coronado or Sequoia).

It is a SoCal brewer and the beer is rated 85.

I was somewhat shocked that sculpin came in so low in ABV; I thought it was a bit bigger. But that fish is not screwing around... the habanero means business. I barely got through my 4oz taster... I wouldn't even want to try to do a full bottle. Hopefully it keeps you occupied through the game... although I'd happily guess more beers while everyone else is asleep...
