I can't get past the cafeteria incident when he pulled a @Houser and yelled FHRitP. Only I'm 61% sure that houser didn't have pending **** charges.

Then, coming out on the field in uniform before the clemson game only to have Jimbo lose his shit and tell him to march his ass back to the locker room. And how it was the Jameis show on the sideline during that game.

If he was the true leader on that team...ugh and meh. Meh and ugh.

 

So...my previous nomination LIF Part II box was deferred by @PA-Michigander and we agreed that I'd create a Westbrook/Southeast box for @RayOhioFelton's CF LIF. That box is underway, and I may twist @jfstilling's arm a bit to make sure we get enough good stuff in there. However, I was hoping to do a box for Ray's cause anyway, and Nick knows he's got stuff headed his away eventually, so I decided my Part II box still needed to be sent out. And I just packed it. And I'm sending it tomorrow. And it's going to someone who I've sent to before. And hopefully he enjoys not only the beer, but also the notoriety of being voted "most deserving of the box if PA-Mich didn't exist!"

Decided to try the new Boulevard Imperial Stout X w/ coffee

Meh. I normally like Boulevards big bottles, especially their imperial stout that is barrel aged..

I didn't like their coffee ale much, and I think it's the coffee and the way they use it that I don't agree with. Remind me not to ever go to the roasterie in KC if I ever find myself lost in KC.

Otherwise- solid stout base- just not feeling it after the kbs I guess.



So.. suffering fatigue from IPAs and now.. stouts I guess.. I decided to find something sour.

Holy hell is this beer fantastic tasting..Perfect level of sour and tartness, subtle funk, and a nice sweetness from the peaches, and possibly the brandy barrel.

This has decidedly sold me on buying a brandy barrel next go around. Rum was in the lead, to accompany my bourbon barrel, but fuck that. Brandy will be fantastic for a barleywine or scotch ale, and then slam some sours into that beast.

So.. yeah.. I'm ISO almanac sours now... gotta find me some ammo.
