So....does this mean we all move to Indiana? This is the top Google search of "How much does __ cost?" for each state. lol at Alabama/Florida/Tennessee. Seriously, Connecticut? :grimacing: at North Dakota.

i think we should add something to this to make it a bit more interesting for the higher seeds. im not sure what or how so open to suggestions but also fine with doing nothing, but upsets should matter somehow. having a 14 seed beat a 3 seed has to account for something. any ideas or thoughts?

We should just do points for each win...maybe more points the later the round.

Not sure how to really do it without disrupting the balance of boxes for winners.

I'm sure we can have side bets too...

It may not work this year now that the teams have been pulled, but I always find it fun when you get the points for (seed x round #). So a 14 seed win in round 1 gets you 14 points, 28 points if it happens in round 2. Of course, that devalues the 1 seeds...

Side pot would be the way to go. This is already set. Not much room to change the rules now.

I have seen pets per round for upsets so round one upsets are 1 point round 2 upsets are 2 pts, ect...your system sounds intense ha.

Should we do a yahoo bracket or is it too late for that? They have one on the main boards we could get in on.

If a Poobah can get sick, what chance do the rest of us have?

the only reason i suggested something is because everyone has a team that has little to no chance of winning. its not like its lopsided one way or the other.

edit: lets just leave as is, and @sandman3479 suggested side action, which is fine.

Honestly I just filled out my bracket and picked Villanova to go to the championship and Wisconsin to lose to Harvard in sweet 16 round. No way they make it past Arizona. Also I have no idea what I'm doing.

As for a side bet we could do whoever has the farthest low seed in the tourney. So if your lowest seeded team makes it to the elite 8 and everyone else is knocked out by the sweet 16 you win. We could do that for seeds 9 thru 12 as well....what do ya all think?

The only other suggestion, which may very well be too much for people, is to keep teams we already have and run 2 brackets conjointly with their own respective rules. This COULD work if we stick to a STRICT limit of say 2 22/750's per bracket, and we try to couple up sending to respective winners to save on shipping.

I'd be fine with that, and it would REALLY add some intrigue as to what teams to keep/trade/root for, as their are 2 different sets of rules, and what team(s) are best for both (other than ****-ucky).

Interestingly, this type of side bet doesn't necessarily require all 16 to play for it to be doable; since teams were allotted with everyone getting a 13-16, it wouldn't be weighted too much (I wouldn't think, at least) if only some of the group participated.
