I think in the spirit of all DickButts, they can strike anyone, anywhere, at anytime so that should also be how the box rolls. It is supposed to be random so send it to whomever you'd like, in our group ideally.

I would love to see the group do ANY BIF, amirite @Houser ?! So many people in the group have drank 3, 4, 5, 6 thousand different check-ins so maybe the "desire" isn't there to send boxes or try new things, etc. but I still enjoy it. I'm not a Jeter fan but that is a nice career BA so why not celebrate it on BA?!

 

I'm in for a locals style, no expectation of whale just try new things type of BIF. I'm tired of some of the whale chasing.... not completely but I think we'll have more respoonse with a good ol' fashion locals style BIF

 

I'd be down for this. I don't have the time to go to many releases and stand in line anymore, so a BIF where I can fill a box just making a trip to a bottle shop or two appeals to me.

Looking like we can get something going. Not sure what the beer climate is in your neck of the woods, but I could make it to a couple shops right now and throw together a decent box. I could run this BIF, would just need to pick a date to ship by? We could aim to have the boxes land the week of June 17th - maybe the only requirement of the box is a blind VBS for a certain day? Doesn't have to be a crazy bottle, just something VBS-worthy.

 

Gives us almost a month to put something together. Should be doable for a decent number of people. Consider me in.

 

Are you sticking with 310oz min? That's a good amount a beer.

Let's set the MAX at 310oz... don't go above it so no one feels too over the top set the min at 144oz it's a 12 of 12oz?

 

I figure no one in this thread listens to rules so why even set limits?! I think a 12 shipper or the equivalent of that would be fine. Without any idea what I'll find, I imagine I will send a 12 shipper with 6 bomber-ish bottles and 6 slots filled with cans and small JO bootles. Sounds easy.

 

I know an idea I posted a couple weeks ago was to have a "local beer" inspired "save me a trip to the beer shop" BIF and it sounds like that is what people are leaning toward - sending nice stuff that will go well with the warm weather and won't bust budgets.
