Just a heads up there's a shop near me with Thirsty Dog Wulver falling off the shelf. If anyone is interested in some, just drop me a line.

It's been a while since I walked into a bar and said "good morning" to the bartender.
Free beer while you wait for a growler fill? If I have to.

Doing the last of my packing which is mostly glassware.... I think some of my 80+ growlers are going to not make this initial move down

I'm a fan of the SWTFYW idea, and I agree that after thinking about the previous discussions, having style limits could severely impact someone's choices. I also like the idea of covered bottles and I think 8 and 4 is a good mix as well. What about something like:
    8 uncovered, 4 covered
Take at least 6, but up to 10
At least 1 of the chosen must be from the covered bottles
    Replace what you take

I know having a requirement to take covered bottles could mean you get a beer style you don't prefer, but I'm finding that the more I'm sent and trying beers outside of my originally preconceived ideas of styles and likes, the more I'm starting to see nuances and enjoying them more and more. And having to take a chance on a hidden beer is part of the fun.

Also, what about having to label the covered beers (i.e like a sticky note or small piece of paper taped to the GLASS part of the bottle - don't ruin a pretty label) with who packed it so that if they make it through a couple stops the person who ends up choosing it knows who it came from?

There seem to be an awful lot of rules for this next one. Can someone please summarize them once they are established so I can determine if I want to stick to them or not?

For the record, I still prefer "shipping whatever the fuck I want" as opposed to implementing multiple limitations and restrictions.

The Bif in a box always had the take out x amount rule.... trying to spice it up a little I guess.... I'd be perfectly fine if the only change was instead of 6 bottles you could take UP TO 10 with 6 still being the minimum...

I'd be perfectly fine with taking up to 12.

Pack it in a box with my address on it.

Besides "anywhere from 6 to 10" the covered bottle idea is the other major change suggested so far.

Personally, I love the concept but at the end of the day if someone really wants to not follow it, I don't think it'd ruin the concept for the rest of the group, only their target. Most of the other limitations/restrictions that have been proposed seem to have fallen off anyway (style-specific bottles, required larger amounts taken, 'no extras' have all come and gone on their own)

Take one of the covered bottles, pop the top, pound it, guess what it is, and then see what it is... Problem solved!
