Syracuse bottle share interest?

    Hey there Orangemen country I am putting out some feelers to see if there is interest in getting together for some good beer drinking. I moved to town about a month ago and miss the chance to get together with like minded ale drinker to share and talk about great beer. I was thinking that I could host and hope to do something between now and Thanksgiving. I am thinking of maybe a dozen or so people with each bringing a few bombers worth of beer to share. Alright, I've said my piece so have at it Onandaga Nation!

    My wife and I would both be interested. November is pretty busy for us but hopefully it'll be a time we can make it.

    Alright, so I am looking at my calendar and 11/16 or 17 looks good to me. If you are interested in being part of this shoot me a BM with what you would consider bringing and what you would be interested in trying. Once I get some info from interested parties I will create a google spreadsheet and send everyone a link to it. Also include which date works better for you and hopefully we can get our drink on. Heck maybe I will even invite Franch and some NYC folks up.

    I've never participated in a bottle share. What's an appropriate amount to bring? One bomber? Two?

    I would say between 44-64 oz. per person would be a good start. Don't worry so much about the amount, just bring beer you think others might not have tried or something you think others would enjoy. I would try not to bring something that everyone has probably had before or is readily available. Brewery only or beer that is not distributed in NY would be preferred, but my main interest is to get locals together to share in a common interest and meet new people. Feel free to check out other threads concerning bottleshares to get a better idea. I don't expect Cable Car, Morning Delight, or Fou Foune not that I wouldn't love to try any of those. Growlers welcome or 12oz bottles or any other size bottles, just bring good beer and be ready to expand your palate.

    Alright, so 11/16 is the date, for those who responded with interest. The google doc has been unlocked, so you can add you info. I may have room for 1 or 2 more interested parties. Shoot me a BM with interest.
