I will be in Syracuse on 2 July. As a dedicated BA, I would like to dine and drink at a good beer bar, especially if it has trivia night on Wednesdays. Any recommendations?

Don't know about the Trivia but you'll want to hit the Blue Tusk in Armory Square.

I am thinking Clark's Ale House will be up and running then.

Obligatory J Ryan's recommendation. No trivia.

If your looking for trivia google "Syracuse trivia night". There is a company that runs the trivia at multiple locations around Syracuse, so you can see. What's available on Wednesdays.

I don't want to stray too far from the Interstate. I did google the trivia night stuff, and sent them an email, but it bounced. The Blue Tusk gets positive reviews, so it just might be the go-to place. Thanks for the input.

Just make sure to bring your spendin' money; BT has a premium tap lineup and they charge a premium for it. When DirtWolf first hit the market in November, they were selling pints for $9. They were also selling Ghandi Bot for $7/ 10 oz glass this year.

I much prefer J Ryan's a few blocks away in Clinton Square.

Conrad, Places mentioned are not easy to find and park near if your from out of town and are off the main highway corridor. I'd suggest exiting Rt 81 to Destiny USA mall which is within eye sight of Rt 81 at the South end of lake Onondaga and hit up Gorden Biersch. Google Destiny Restaurants . This mall is the Syracuse answer to Mall Of America in Mn.

I've gotten lost returning to the highway... Let's say... 120 out of the 128 times I've visited Syracuse. Have a solid gps and budget an extra 20-30 minutes just for figuring out which way is up.
