Will this be available at RR on 8/11 (anniversary party day)? Also, will RR be releasing anything else for this date, as I heard they are doing a "pre-party" of sorts for the event.

I don't believe that anyone knows anything aside from Vinnie and, uh, the guy who owns Toronado whose name I forget. I'm sure that if details surface they'll be posted here.

To concur, there have been zero details released, other than that it exists.

All the Toronado dudes are doing a pre-party at Russian River brewery and then Benders in SF (what I was told). Then the party hosted by Toronado is the next day. Something to this effect.

This week's O'Brien's email said that, during O'Brien's owner Tom Nickel's birthday week, they will have "Alpine's Toronado 25th Anniversary Double IPA." Is that a different beer than what RR is brewing, or did he say Alpine when he meant to say RR?

    Completely different beer.

As Stu said, it's different. A fair number of brewers made 20th Anniversary beers last time, including Lost Abbey (Cable Car), Port (547 Haight), Lagunitas, and others I'm forgetting. Doesn't surprise me that more are coming for the big 25.

You can see the tap list from the 20th Anniversary here:

    Others of note include:
    -- Moonlight's 20 to Life
    -- Lagunitas XX Birthday Red
-- Sierra Wood-aged stout, Wood-Aged Celebration, and Anniversary Ale
    -- Russian River 50/50 Blend

I am going to take a not so wild guess that the Russian River party is August 9. American Dog , one of Dave's favorite bands, are the scheduled musical guests that night. They played at RR for the XXth party.

I was quite fond of the $3 glasses (small glasses, but still) of Cable Car 2010 at Toronado San Diego...going from a $3 glass to a $50 bottle in the span of a year was not exactly awesome.

Does RR typically release anything special for these parties? I happen to have a cousin who lives next door, and is really cool about picking stuff up for me

They might let a few bottles of T25 out the door, but I would doubt it. Wouldn't shock me if they put in on draft, though. Bottle release is way more likely to be made Toronado only.

It's going to be a horrible party no one should come... But seriously, I was in there a few nights ago and they actually cleaned up the area above the beer board and around the ceiling and stuff. I mean its not clean, but somewhat. I was told it was in preparation for T25. Never thought I'd see the day they cleaned anything.

I hope you're planning on making it up here for the party. It's time to crack open that Funky Buddha Passionfruit Berliner Weisse so I don't have to keep looking at it in the fridge.

The stage was being worked on today in preparation for American Dog.
