this also is only a fraction sonambic - the other sours are made in larger volume, so a blend from his other sours is capable of being larger than a batch of beatification.

definitely. i'm sure the guy who posted this is the only guy who could pull it off with a 2-bottle limit:

this is a large-batch beer, and they're probably not enforcing the bottle limit too strictly as a result.

Yeah...I'm going to say he had mules. I've never known RR to go lightly on bottle limits. During the first day of Beat release, you kind of had to get permission to go to your car so you couldn't sneak bottles out and then order more.

i was at the first day of the beat release. it was damn hard to walk out with more than a single allotment.

a friend of mine was there two weeks later. he walked out with 4 cases.

i'm just saying, rr seems to have subscribed to the idea that you can't really fool desperate beer geeks. so they made more. sorry this is so aggravating.

There is no way in hell you were leaving with more than your 2 bottle limit. They put that limit out there for a reason.

Serious ninja skills attained from master Splinter would need to be in full effect to get out of there with more than your fair share.

Didn't they also make you show your license and sign your name on a list?

They didn't at Beat. I wasn't at the T25 release this morning.

I can't believe how ridiculously awesome the Coming Soon section is for Russian River.

I've already worked a few days overtime to have money for T-25 release. Now with 3L Supplication, I guess I just sleep at work. Vinnie chose a really bad time for my wallet.:grimacing:

What? No they didn't. Or at least they didn't later in the day, as when I was there with my gf for lunch I walked the bottles to the car then came back in.
Who's it aggravating to? Regardless, I don't know how much they've made and really don't care. I hope they continue to make a ton of things, makes it easier to get. I could give a fuck about trade value at this point.

They did when I was there around noon, but that might have just been because they assumed (reasonably) that the hoarders were there at that time -- specifically, they were very careful about preventing people from jumping the line by claiming they had been at their cars and checked the bottles at the same time.

Pfft none of which I'm trading.
I was eating not long after that, and they weren't doing that at all. So I don't know. Regardless, I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone there last night could get a bunch of bottles all by his lonesome. Mules is more likely, but a single, dedicated, unscrupulous guy is entirely possible.,

Was there today and there was a line when I got there at 1130. Stayed and drank till about 230 and I would say they sold the last bottles of T25 around 130ish. Although I was kinda drunk at that point I'm not exactly sure. Seems like of you really tried you could get away with sneaking more bottles but I didn't see any of it going on.

I am parked RIGHT in frontof Toronado...time for bed. :-) Gf calling me an idiot, but I planned todo this over a year ago. I've never tried a lot of rare beers that I hear they willhave, and I figure this is one of those few times in the year I do something fun and crazy like this. No regrets.

Oh come on...thats not cool. But to be very honest with you, I've thought about doing the same thing since I was one of the first 10 guys who got there REAL early. After I walked out with two bottles, my dark side was telling me to take off my sun glasses, wear a hoodie with completely different color from my original outfit, game face on, and do whatever floats the boat. Then Emma Watson showed up on my mind and told me I shouldn't be doing that. So I listened to her...

2 and a half hour journey to RR to start soon. Here is to hoping that 45 minutes before opening is going to be early enough.
