Apparently a couple hours after they dropped me off at my house, she started having contractions then went into 17hrs of labor for those twin (both healthy BTW)
The text I got from my buddy Rich was "well, you didnt get left at RR today but it was close"
In a bit of irony he brought home a growler of Pliny, thats a good way to celebrate!

I think it is hilarious that the people who made so many trips and pulled cases of T25 (16 in one day is absurd) to trade are the ones who really ended up devaluing the shit out of it and will actually hurt the quality of beers offered to them. Maybe it doesn't matter to them because of being so new...

It obviously wasn't hard to get, no RR beers are hard as long as you make the drive to get it - I was only there Thursday night but looks as though they last quite a while at least on Sunday. I maybe wish I had 1-2 more but it wasn't worth the trip cost for that beer... it's no beatification.

I'm glad to be wrong on that front. But you're completely wrong that they made 12,000 bottles. They ran out mid-day on Sunday and there aren't anymore. I would guess the total volume is 2,400 bottles or so.

Released. There's a lot left in Toronado's and RR's cellars, you can be sure of that. I doubt it's 8k bottles, but it's probably quite a bit.

It's the same as this years Beatification. Insane the first couple days... but then bottles were available for what? Almost a month?

Very different from Beatification. Because they aren't releasing anymore after this past Sunday.

so they sold all of it over the weekend? none held back for year-round bottle service at the toronado? and i'm guessing bottles are going to start sneaking out of the toronado with more regularity now that ebay is off the table (supposedly a big factor in the on-premise-only decision back in the day).

it wasn't my intention to be a dick (well, not 100% of my intention), but i think people need to start looking back at their predictions before and after releases and learning from them. russian river, despite generally not making impressive (to me) beers, is doing something that more breweries should be taking cues from.

so yeah, there's a bunch of bottles out there. only ~2400 (per your guess) this past weekend, but that's hardly it.

I assume and hope there will be year-round bottle service at Toronado. I would be shocked if they allow it to be to go except during anniversary parties, and even then, limited quantities. I've never seen a lot of Cable Car sneak out of Toronado over the years.

But as Levitation said, part of that decision was that they didn't want it to wind up on eBay and cause people to just arbitrage them, hence only releasing them to people they trust (I hadn't heard that before so I'm just going with him). It's conceivable that their attitude would change now.

It's also possible that RR made way more of this than they did T-20, or than LA does Cable Car.

point is, your overly pessimistic attitude on this event/release means we aren't going to make the same assumptions about the future.

as for the part i bolded, i think you need to read my post again. you were already shocked by a lot of things that didn't go the way you predicted this past weekend.

Are you talking about at Russian River or at Toronado itself? What you're saying is the impression I got of the sales at Toronado, but I was under the impression that at RR it would go on longer.

Russian River confirmed they were sold out on Sunday. Toronodo sold out on Saturday.
It's in the first post on their Facebook page:

Finally winding down the Toronado 25th Anniversary marathon this past week. Had a great time seeing friends from all over for the 5 days of celebrating! This picture was taken at the pub Thursday night: Vinnie, me, Jennifer and Dave, with
Ian Black and Johnny Davis behind us. We just ran out of bottles of Toronado 25th at the pub, but it is still available on draft, along with 20 or so other beers. Time for me, and you, to pop open a cold beer and chill out on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Cheers!

Does this mean the 25th is no longer on tap at Toronado? I remember seeing a thread post about all the anniversary beers being cleared off the boards already?

It was still on tap as of 4:00 yesterday. $6 a glass, no happy hour discount.

It looked like a lot of the beers from Saturday were still up.

Yeah, I'd expect it to last on draft at least through the week at both venues, if not longer.
