Is this also available at the San Diego Toronado?

It doesn't appear so, at least for a to-go bottle release. It will probably show up for on-premise consumption at some point, and they might get a keg.

 

Toronado SD does not have license for to go bottles, on site consumption only.

My father is going to be in San Diego for the next week or so.... Crap. Oh well.

 

So that means people will wait in their cars instead of at the door?

 

But if you're in your car you don't have a definitive spot! Unless your car is on the curb, I suppose.

Also there's no way they can actually enforce that even if they wanted to, so it's all moot.

 

But they will have bottles for on site consumption in SD? I mean it makes sense but I haven't seen the SD location mentioned at all.

I ask because I'm trying to set up a trade for two bottles but only because I want to drink one fresh and save one for later. If I can drink a bottle while I'm down here for work I'll just trade for one and save the trouble of trying to get two, even though it would be nice.

 

Nothing has been announced yet, but I would be surprised if it doesn't make its way down there, either in keg form or a few cases for on-site. After all, last I checked they still had a T20 (for an absurd $250, yes, but they had it). And Cable Car + Kriek have always been at both bars.

 

It would be strange if it didn't show up, but I thought I'd ask if anyone knew for sure. Hopefully I can try it and CC Kriek in the same day.

 

I have plans the next couple of days so I will have to miss this party and release. Might end up driving up Sunday morning to RR if I can get myself out of bed early enough though.

 

Are there typically lines for these events? Is my best bet to show up early? My visit has been cut short, so I'm trying to make the most of my time. Thx

 

There will definitely be lines. Showing up early is probably the only way you'll get in/get bottles.

 

Let's all hype the shit out of this event as much as possible.

 

What time are people thinking for tomorrow (Friday)? I couldn't imagine it being too crazy tomorrow, but you never know with RR.

 

I was being honest. If Beatification had a line down the block an hour before opening when there was plenty to last for a few weeks, there will be lines at opening on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And since they're talking about 25 cases per day (300 bottles) at a two bottle limit, you're talking about only the first 150 people getting any. I won't be at RR for this, but it's absurd to pretend you'll be able to show up at noon on Saturday or Sunday and get two bottles.

I'm flying out to San Fransisco Monday morning, anybody think there will be some available still?

 

Possibly driving out to San Francisco for the party from Vegas. Will probably only go to toronado, if I can get there early enough to score a bottle, cool. If not, they will have good beers on tap. Any BA's going to be there from the start wanna make a Vegas guy welcome?

 

I'll try to get in line Saturday morning before the ballgame.
