I'm in the .0001% that would be interested in trying this, but can a brewer test one out for me and let me know how it is? Thanks man.

    Signed,
    Hopeful

The amount of vinegar in Tabasco would make something like that unbearable for me. I like it as a sauce, but I couldn't handle it as a drink. Especially not with a Gose.

Yea, agreed it would lend itself to something sweeter and maltier, like a big brown ale.

Ithaca did a Tabasco barrel aged beer a ways back, called Tastes Like Burning. It was awful. Much later I was talking to one of their Brewers at an event somewhere, and he said they had put it in there, tried it after a week or so, and it was good - just enough of a hint to be tasty, but not too much. They left it there for another 6 months. So for a hose, I would think if you barreled it for a couple days, it might be ok, any more than that would be too much.

I think a Gose with chilis added, just enough to impart a dry heat in the throat on the backend would be lovely. Not sure if that was quite what OP was going for.

To answer your question, yes I'd be interested.

Tabasco is a lousy hot sauce to begin with, your ruining beer.

Pretty sure the vinegar is added after the peppers are removed from the barrels http://www.tabasco.com/tabasco-products/how-its-made/making-original-tabasco-sauce/
The barrels would have just salt and aged pepper flavors . I think that just might work in a Gose

Fie on you. Tabasco is the best selling hot sauce in the world, I go through a large bottle every two weeks.

Hmmm. If that's the case, I'd agree. I'm not much of a Gose fan, but a peppery one might be tasty. As long as the salt is very much kept in check. A hint of salt in beer is fine, but a lot is off putting for me.

I know we should probably take this up on HotSauceAdvocate.com, but Cholula or GTFO.
