Taco Bell and Beer?

Update: they're putting one in SF, too. It's going in the same neighborhood as City Beer and Cellarmaker. I will give it a shot when it opens, but let's just say my expectations are tempered.

Dos Equis and... New Belgium?? Well, that's interesting. I remember when I saw a thread on this come up a while back, it was predicted that the beer selection would probably be along the lines of "Dos Equis, Corona, Bud Light" -- a fast food place like Taco Bell having a craft beer selection, even a limited one, doesn't seem like something anyone would've guessed.

I haven't had Taco Bell in years. While beer might encourage me to return, the beer would probably have to be free and world class!

 

I do hope they put that bouncy surface they put in playgrounds on the floor in the bathrooms.

 

I used to frequent a Chipotle where I would buy a Corona 22oz with my meal.
They had some others like Sam Adams or something too.

Taco Bell + Draft beer = long day sitting on the toilet the next day.

 

Mescal, so that I don't taste the actual food. And it kills all the bacteria.

 

There's a little place not far from me that has really good authentic Mexican food and a couple decent beers on tap. An IPA with the fresh chilies they use is a great pairing. A seven layer burrito with a couple packets of fire sauce works fine too.

 

If you keep the buzz going there is no hangover. Good on you Taco Bell.

 

In Chicago there are fantastic mom and pop taquerias in almost every neighborhood. There is not reason to eat the crap at taco bell, no matter how drunk you are.

 

When I'm drunk, as I am now, I want to eat Taco Bell. Ravenously. If somebody, somebody, doesn't bring me some Taco Bell, I'm gonna have to… sit here…drunk…without some godamn Taco Bell. Damnit.

Taco bell does not have enough flavor for me to go with a good beer sorry. I want some hearty usually home cooked food with some real zest not some packet they shake on premixed from a factory that an employee left out past the expiration date.
Craft beer is exotic to me and I usually pair it with some kind of real food if I do. When I get McDonald's on the way home from work on a blue moon I even feel weird drinking a world class beer a half hour after that cause its so cheap

 

There is no amount of beer that would bribe me enough to eat at taco bell. I can't even walk downwind from one

 

There is a chain of mexican food places here in Arizona called Filibertos. One of them in the west side has beers on tap and actually had BCBS. Not going to lie, it was a nice little dinner! That is BCBS and a slightly better food place though.

 

My answer is yes.

 

nope, not interested. and if you really want to eat TB you can bring it to most micro brew pubs anyway, and they usually have a roach coach outside anyway...
