+1 to everything Libbey said, especially Parkway. Alehouse Pub is also excellent. The Ram isn't half bad, either. BJ's at the Tacoma Mall has pretty good food and a nice bottle list.

 

Red Hot is a must and hit the E-9. They are nearly across the street from each other and two of the best beer spots in Tacoma.
