I have access to one or two. Does anybody give a shit about TNP? If I was to get one or two, I wouldn't be looking to trade for a Rare or $4$ necessarily, but to use it to get some of my favorites. Is it worth it? Would I be wasting my time? Know of any trade history involving it? Thanks! Cheers!

I imagine it depends on what your favorites are. Some of my favorites include OE800 and Mexican Coke.

I wouldn't think you could get more than $75 worth of harder to get off the shelf things. I doubt anyone is going to send CBSx3 for it, but perhaps a few RR sours or some Cigar City stuff.

I think it's fairly widely distributed, the issue is just the price tag. Maybe you'd have luck with somebody in one of those poor, ABV capped states who's been dying to try it.

Favorites or would wants would be like: BCBS/Variations, Huna, BBPt5th and stuff like that.

    Is bcbvs+some BCBS far fetched?

Probably depends on the amount of BCBS you're looking for. Another thing to consider is that at this point, Vanilla is almost 2 years old, and most people who still have one probably haven't been hanging onto it to trade for a TNP.

Generally there is very little interested in TNP. It is not very good, expensive, and someone would have to ship a large box to get the $ even close. I have yet to see it trade for anything limited.

So far Tokyo* is the only big beer I have liked from Brewdog.

I traded for one for Citra x2 + Filmishmish + something . After tasting the Tnp, my khaki stained teeth embraced the full taste of permanent marker and regret.

Yea. That was kinda what I was thinking. But there might be some tickers out there with extras of the things I want. I'll probably just forget it. Probably not worth it?

Probably not worth it unless you know EXACTLY what you will be getting in return before you buy the bottles of TNP. I'd hate to see you spend money and be disappointed with what you can get in return.

Fully agree. Was just curious how many people like train wrecks.

This. A lot of money to risk not getting a good return on your investment but you never know. On the flip side, it is possible that someone who has multiples of the beers you want just happens to want to tick this one and doesn't feel like tracking it down....but I would want to hear from said person before I dropped the cash for it. Good luck.

strikes me as the far end of "far-fetched," like "absolutely unrealistic" territory. people aren't going to trade stuff they can get prized brewery 1-offs with for an overpriced beer that sits on the shelf indefinitely and is reputed to taste bad.

honestly, unless you're asking for something that your trading partner can go to the store any time they want (or every year for a few months with ease) and get, i would say the trade is far fetched. note: people haven't gotten BCBS "for a month or so every year, with ease" for about 2~ years now. i got BCBS with ease back when i got cantillon with ease.

Ok bro. Thanks for your 2c! It's been made clear that nobody wants that train wreck and I'm not buying it. I don't need that piece of shit to get what I want. I have plenty to do so. Was just curious if anybody gave a shit about that beer or not. Clearly not. You're a little late to be coming full force like that. Pump the brakes.

    coming full force? huh?

i don't get your response. are you mad that i didn't pepper my post with smile faces or something? i just chimed in with my opinion on TNP's trade value, ie the topic of this thread. do you think if i "pumped the breaks" my opinion would have been different?

Ahh, you both gave up too quickly:wink:

As a contrarian I think you should get 2. If you can afford to just stash them, eventually they will be aged and mellower, and will undoubtedly pull something good. Key word is eventually. TNP right now is pretty harsh, though.
