I ended up buying a bottle with 5 other people, yielding a shot's worth each. In hindsight, I may have been willing to split 3 ways, but no more than that. Its like buying a very expensive tiny bottle of whisky, and not worth the cost of a whole bottle. Besides, it would be hard to drink the whole bottle alone in a sitting. As for aging, it may mellow it a bit, but probably would not make a huge difference in the first year. You certainly would bot be doing it much harm.

 

I have one in my pantry. Not sure when I'm going to crack it open.

 

Probably. I know Utopia ages magnificently. I'm sure TNP will improve also. And like Utopia, I can reseal the bottle and drink it in increments to see how it evolves.

 

i loved it.. i went through 3 bottles myself..

i'm sure in 10 years it will be even better..

 

This is one of the worst beers ever put in a bottle. Shame on BrewDog for something so nasty, and with the price point. There is a reason BrewDog beers are just sitting around now. People have wised up to their over inflated sence of self worth in the beer world and realizing that a lot of their beers are just crap or gimmicks.

 

if someone asked me to put in with a group to buy a bottle i would listen, but i certainly dont have enough personal interest to make an effort to secure a bottle.

 

With TNP, STB, and Utopias almost bordering on liquor level I don't think age will really change/improve it. It'll just keep extremely well and oxidation/loss of carbonation isn't a big deal.

 

I wouldnt buy one. I'd rather spend my money on a good bottle of scotch or bourbon. I cant imagine TNP is better than Black Tuesday which is less than half the price.

 

I love it. So much that I can't keep it long enough to age it.

 

I'll pass on buying another. Tasted like an imperial stout poured into cigar ashes.

 

I would go in on a bottle with someone in austin for sure.

Bought Utopias and wish i could afford another bottle so nothings off limits til they prove that they suck.

Ive met the brewdog guys, great people, and i buy a bottle or 3 of their stuff when i have the cash. Paradox is my fav so far.

 

If anyone is looking for it in the Austin area, the Specs up in Round Rock next to IKEA had it the last time I was there. Look in the fancy-pants whiskey whiskey glass case. It was there with another crazy expensive BrewDog beer... Happy hunting.

I'm almost positive I saw one in the glass case at the specs in midtown (Houston) a few weeks back. But no, I wouldn't buy it. I agree with some of the others Ide rather buy a bottle of scotch.
