Ever have trouble finding a thread that you were looking for about a certain brewery or region that you can’t find because there was something weird in the title thread? Also, it seems like we have multiples of several threads everywhere these days. Here’s my proposal to make things more organized (think gmail tags), slightly borrowed from the Northwest region threads. Put a [TAG] on it, similar to putting a bird on everything but I think it’ll help. For example:
    [MKE] Cherry Rye Sightings
    [CHI] Cherry Rye Sightings
    [NWI] Cherry Rye Sightings

The same could also apply for beer releases:
[FFF] Tuesday Release: Murda’d Out Stout
    [NG] Apple Ale whatever
    [REV] Very mad Cow

It won’t help out with the people that like to use bizzare mysterious thread titles but it might help clear up duplicate threads, etc. Perhaps it’ll catch on, perhaps it won’t but it might be worth a shot.

So to start here are a few standards that could be used:
    Regions
    Milwaukee [MKE]
    Madison [MAD]
    Chicago [CHI]
Northwest Indiana [NWI] – Is this considered Chicago?
[DET], [CLE], [IND], you get the point

    Breweries:
[FFF], [NG], [CW], [GI], [REV], [HA], etc.

When this showed up in the NW forum, I thought it was a little "micromanagement". But then I found myself not opening or opening certain threads. It seemed to narrow my attention a little, which I liked. I don't know if it will catch on but ....

Sorry should've specified in the ISO. Actually looking for herder of drunk cats, not a drunken herder of cats. Oh yeah +cable car
